UMBRO X POWER DYNAMOS FOOTBALL CLUB

Kitwe, Zambia, 28 July 2021: 

Umbro is pleased to announce a new partnership as the official technical sponsor of Zambia Super League side, Power Dynamos Football Club. 

Founded in 1971 as an unaffiliated youth team, the club celebrates its fiftieth anniversary as one of Zambia's most decorated outfits with 6 Super League titles and several local cups, amongst them the BP Top 8, ABSA, Mosi and Independence Cups. In 1991, Power Dynamos added the African Cup Winner's Cup, forerunner of the CAF Confederation Cup, to its trophy cases, becoming the first southern African club to win a continental title. 

As of mid-July, Umbro is the new official technical partner of the Power Dynamos F.C. playing squads, supplying high performance competition, training, and off-field apparel. Branded apparel and equipment will be provided to technical and management staff, with a supporter's range available for fans to purchase. 

Speaking on the partnership, Umbro South Africa's Kirby Stein said: "We are delighted to welcome Power Dynamos Football Club back to the Umbro brand stable and are excited to see them in our famous double diamond once again. Having last worked with the club in 2017, we are pleased to reinstate this partnership and look forward to many years of successful collaboration."

Power Dynamos F.C. join fellow Super League sides, Green Buffaloes, Kitwe United, Lusaka Dynamos, Nkana, Zanaco and Zesco United in being kitted out by Umbro.
